I have been using Headway since 2010, and the latest stable release still works, but it is a ticking time bomb before some core WordPress update breaks it. And when it happens, I doubt it will be repaired. Certainly won’t be done proactively.

They closed their forum ages ago and avoid all customer contact completely. Very sad demise for such an excellent product.

Sorry to hear you have been having issues with Headway. I believe they are going through some growing pains, though. All businesses seem to go through this at some time. I wouldn’t suggest moving all your sites away from Headway at this point, though. However, if it does become problematic could always use Elegant Themes. Divi is really easy to work with.

There are indeed many Headway users having problems with support. As well as historical users of the framework. I am informing you they are jumping out to a theme builder like BeaverBuilder, etc.

I guess Headway is indeed the best theme builder out there and the best option for designers who want to have 100% control of their theme layout.

BUT… The fact is Gary is not informing what’s going on with this product, and his son Clay (who are the one who coded Headway) is now working to fix Flywheel. And I quote “still working on Headway in his spare time.”

So take advice: Headway is very good, but at this time is not sure about their future.

I really can’t get over how awesome this WordPress theme is. I have used a number of WordPress frameworks over the years, but nothing I have tried compares to Headway.

No matter what you need to do on your website it’s easy to do with Headway. I do wish that this framework didn’t cost a yearly fee. But, on the plus side I have made 35,000 this year designing websites for my clients, so I guess I really can’t complain.

Love the support; Gary always does a remarkable job at helping with any coding problems I might have.

Yes, I do use Headway and have a developer account with them. It is one of the best investments I have ever made.
