I started working on this plugin because I wanted to have a simple rating plugin through which visitors could rate my posts and send me private feedback in case that they didn’t like a post. In contrary, if the rating is good, I thought it’s a good idea to ask them to follow me on social media.

I just updated the plugin to version 1.1.0 which allows better customization (texts, style etc.). What sets this plugin apart from other WordPress rating plugins is its simplicity, customization options, performance and impact on engagement. Furthermore, the developer (i.e. me) is also ready to add new features if somebody asks for them 🙂

This is a great list of review plugins. I’ve only had experience with WP Product Review, and it’s one that I still use on my site. I like that you can customise the colours and include a picture of the product, while also being able to state the main pros and cons.

I like how you also included review plugins that allow visitors/readers to interact and leave ratings/reviews within the comments. I hadn’t thought about including that before, but now after reading your article, it’s something I might consider to encourage user engagement on my site.

Ok, I stand corrected. I did find their pro version at https://yetanotherstarsrating.com/extensions/. It looks like some good stuff! The prices are very low. $9.99 for a single license and $29.99 for a lifetime pass. I love one-time fees for business related stuff! This is one thing Elegant Themes has been doing for quite some time now. Love it!

Yeah, there are tons of WordPress plugins out there. I have tried hundreds of them over the years. Some of them can really help. Others can have conflicts and end up breaking your site in the end.
